A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

Language saved life.
There was an incredible story about my grandma’s younger brother who had volunteered to fight Nazis in WWII. The family legend says that he was caught as a POW. And since he was Jewish he had about zero chance to survive. But he spoke Ukrainian language fluently. Though at home they used to speak Russian. In that camp, the other POWs, who were ethnic Ukrainians kept it as a secret that he was Jewish out of respect for him that he had learned their language so well. So knowledge of another language can literally save a person’s life.

An unexpected outcome.
My Israeli friend Michael got his CELTA certificate in Ljubljana, Slovenia. CELTA stands for Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults. And since he had known that our English proficiency was about the same, Michael suggested that I would also try teaching English as a foreign language. So I've started teaching English ever since.
